A team from the NABCO National Secretariat was contracted by the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation (MoME) to present on the impact of NABCO and mount a booth for interactive exhibition; all intended to inform the general public and decision makers on the progress score of the nation building journey.
The program was held from 14th – 16th of January, 2020, at the Accra International Conference Center – a three-day program dubbed: _The Results Fair_ , organized by the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation to assess and evaluate the performance and progress of all the special programs (i.e. the flagship interventions) established under the current administration for social and economic development.
Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo deputized on behalf of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, the Chief Executive Officer of NABCO, to address participants on key achievements of NABCO as a social intervention to address graduate unemployment. Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo emphasized the recruitment of 100, 000 young graduates, who anterior the establishment of the scheme had been years long searching for jobs but lacked the opportunity. The program, as hinted by Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo, seeks to furnish the beneficiaries with employable skills to usher them into permanent employment.
Touching on productivity in the various government and private organizations, Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo stated that a sizeable number of trainees have been placed in the various institutions, both private and public sectors to contribute to nation building; the very inspiration for the mantra: we are nation builders. Again, updating participants on the new training opportunity gained in collaboration with NCCE to commence training of trainees to imbibe ethical values in their places of work as they work to build the nation.
He ended the presentation with a quick rhetoric on the NSTA, the online training portal, which was launched as one of the measures provided on the initiative to enable beneficiaries acquire skills to guide their career choices. He further indicated that the roadshow workshop is ongoing to enlighten trainees on their exit pathway decisions.
_”I encourage NABCO trainees to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the president to build the nation while securing their future concomitantly”,_ Mr. Emmanuel Aidoo noted.
We are Nation Builders!
